Comienza el flujo de peregrinos aprovechando las antiguas calzadas romanas.<br \/>\nEn el S. XI los reyes Alfonso VI de Castilla y Sancho Ram\u00edrez de Arag\u00f3n se esfuerzan por darle orden a estas peregrinaciones.<br \/>\nSe conoce como Camino Franc\u00e9s por Arag\u00f3n el tramo del Camino de Santiago que transcurre\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">entre Somport y Puente la Reina<\/strong>.<br \/>\nEl Camino Franc\u00e9s por Arag\u00f3n tiene su origen en uno de los cuatro caminos medievales de peregrinaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s importantes procedentes de Francia, concretamente del Camino de Arles (V\u00eda Tolosana). Era el utilizado por los peregrinos procedentes del sur de Francia y de Italia. Actualmente es el segundo camino m\u00e1s frecuentado por los caminantes, con mucha diferencia respecto al masificado Camino Franc\u00e9s.<br \/>\nEl prestigio del hospital de Santa Cristina en Somport fija este paso como el principal y configura el llamado camino aragon\u00e9s: Somport, Canfranc, Jaca, Puente la Reina, hasta Navarra por Sang\u00fcesa.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <b>A partir del S. All\u00ed depositaron en un sepulcro de m\u00e1rmol el cuerpo del ap\u00f3stol que llegar\u00eda tras la traves\u00eda mar\u00edtima hasta el puerto romano, en la costa gallega, de Iria Flavia, la capital de la Galicia romano.<br \/>\nAll\u00ed enterraron su cuerpo en un compustum o cementerio en el cercano bosque de Liberum Donum, donde levantaron un altar sobre el altar de m\u00e1rmol.<br \/>\nTras las persecuciones se olvid\u00f3 la existencia del mismo, hasta que en el a\u00f1o 813 el eremita Pelayo observ\u00f3 resplandores y c\u00e1nticos en el lugar. En base a este suceso se llamar\u00eda al lugar Campus Stellae, o Campo de la Estrella, de donde derivar\u00eda al actual nombre de Compostela.<br \/>\nEl eremita advirti\u00f3 al obispo de Iria Favia, Teodomiro, qui\u00e9n descubri\u00f3 los restos del ap\u00f3stol identificados por la inscripci\u00f3n en la l\u00e1pida. Informado el Rey Alfonso II del hallazgo, proclam\u00f3 al ap\u00f3stol Santiago, patrono del reino, edificando all\u00ed un santuario, que m\u00e1s tarde llegar\u00eda a ser la Catedral. A partir de esta declaraci\u00f3n oficial los milagros y apariciones se repetir\u00edan en el lugar.<br \/>\nA partir del siglo XI Santiago ejerci\u00f3 una fuerte atracci\u00f3n sobre el Cristianismo europeo y fue centro de peregrinaci\u00f3n multitudinaria, al que acudieron reyes, pr\u00edncipes y santos.<br \/>\nEn los siglos XII y XIII, \u00e9poca en que se escribi\u00f3 el \u00abC\u00f3dice Clixtino, primera gu\u00eda del peregrino, la ciudad alcanz\u00f3 su m\u00e1ximo esplendor. El Papa Calixto II concedi\u00f3 a la Iglesia Compostelana el \u00abJubileo Pleno del A\u00f1o Santo\u00bb y Alejandro III lo declar\u00f3 perpetuo, convirti\u00e9ndose en Ciudad Santa junto con Roma y Jerusal\u00e9n.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman';
