KNOW THE CREED OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH
What unites the Catholic Church is the Credo.
The faith received in Baptism needs to be professed, celebrated, lived and prayed.
Holy Universal Church, the communion of saints,
Creator of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
only Son of God,
born of the Father before all worlds,
God of God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, of one being with the Father,
by whom all things were made.
Who for us men, he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit he
became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and became man;
For our sake he was crucified under Poncio Pilato,
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,
and ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God;
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son
with the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified,
who spoke through the prophets.
I believe in the Church, one, holy, catholic and apostolic.
confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
look for the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world.
